When the distance between 1632 and 1882 was approximetly 1.5 boat lengths, 1882 started bearing away. 6. 1882 slows his boat down and 1632 then crosses ahead of 1882. 7. 1882 then continued on her beat to windward. 8. When the boats passed each other, there was a quarter boat length between them. 9. There was no contact. 10. Neither boat took a penalty.
