Facts Found - Approximately 19 seconds prior to the start, AUS 2068 and AUS 2873 were overlapped and reaching on starboard tack, with AUS 2873 to windward of AUS 2068.
- Both boats were converging and on a collision course.
- When the distance between the two boats was half a metre, AUS 2068 bore away.
- There was no contact.
- Neither boat took a penalty.
