- 49 bore away, gybed and commenced to tack to leeward of 41
- 49 completed her tack to leeward of 41 and hailed 41 to "come up" 15-30 seconds prior to the start signal.
- 41 altered course to leeward 7-8 seconds prior to the start to accellerate.
- There was contact amidships between 41 and 49.
- There was no damage.
- The wind was 6-7 knots.
- No boats took a penalty turn.
