Facts Found | - The Laser Standards were racing on East Course Area.
- Race committee sent the Laser Standard rigs on an OL2 course.
- Mark 2 and 3 were set close to the shore, east of the course area shown in Addendum A of the sailing instructions.
- The course between mark 2 and mark 3 passed over Bonnet Rock.
- Laser 214456, 215038, 206732, 207495, 213679 and 214456 struck Bonnet Rock causing damage to their boats.
- All boats were able to sail the course and finish.
- All five boats stated that they lost places as a result of striking the rock.
- The International Jury reopened the hearing when significant new evidence became available of further boats striking the rock the next morning (12/15).
- Laser 207198 struck Bonnet Rock causing damage to their boat.
- Laser 207198 was able to sail the course and finish.
- Laser 207198 stated that they lost places as a result of striking the rock.
