202785 shortly after the start was on port tack

Wind strength was less than 10 knots and shifty/gusty, seas choppy.

At aproximately 30 seconds after the start the jury boat came from behind the fleet to signal a penalty in accordance with P1 to a boat ahead of 202785. The jury boat passed 202785 within 1 laser boat length.  

The wake from the jury boat splashed water into the laser cockpit filling it to aproximately the hiking strap. 


Conclusion

 

There was no improper action of the race committee.
