Facts Found| | - Race 2 of the Blizzard series was sailed in wind speed approximately 8-10 knots from the West and minimal waves.
- Within the last minute before the removal of the class flag, True Colours was approaching the start line on starboard tack. BKT JAMHU was on starboard overlapped to leeward of True Colours. Rock n Roll was to leeward of both boats sailing on port tack on a converging course with BKT JAMHU.
- Rock n Roll bore away to pass astern of BKT JAMHU.
- True Colours hailed to Rock n Roll to avoid contact.
- Rock n Roll accelerated and collided with True Colours at midships, piercing a 20cm hole in True Colours’ hull and damaging her safety rail.
- There were no injuries and no boats took penalty turns.
- True Colours retired from the race due to the damage.
- Rock n Roll sailed the course and finished the race
