BOAT ALLOCATION AND BERTHING

Boats have been allocated to teams (where applicable) as per the table below. These boats have been generously loaned by J/70 owners, Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron and Sandringham Yacht Club - please treat them with care and respect.

Not everyone has sailed J/70s before, so teams are expected to work together and assist others where needed.

What to bring:

  • Spare shackles and short lengths of rope for quick fixes
  • VHF radio
  • Protest flag

Lifejackets must be worn at all times. A safety knife in your lifejacket pocket is strongly recommended.

Some boats are already craned in and berthed in their marina pens. These boats have rig tension set to base. We recommend sharing Loos gauges across the fleet.

Engines
All boats have engines onboard. For simplicity, towing by RIBs will be coordinated where needed.

If you require assistance with docking, please ask and we’ll arrange support.

Pack up (Sunday afternoon):
All teams are expected to assist with boat pack up, including:

  • Removing rubbish
  • Packing and tidying
  • Returning rig tension to base
  • Crane out
  • Hosing and sponging out
  • Fitting boat covers
