Worlds - Notice of Race Amendment - Inclusion of Race Sense system & measurement clarification

Add the following to NOR 1.

1.16 Class Rule C.5.1(b) is amended to add:

(17) Electronic devices that include the following functionality:

• OCS / Clear Start MessagingCOG
• Heel
• Pitch (fore aft trim)
• SOG
• VMG
• Distance to Line
• Time to Line 
• Time to Burn
• Shift tracking
• Data Logging
• Zone Messaging

This change is permitted by RRS 87 and written permission is posted on the Official Notice Board.

1.17 The Vakaros RaceSense system will be utilized by the Race Committee (RC). This changes RRS 41(c).  A working Vakaros Atlas 2 configured for RaceSense at check-in shall be mounted above any other instruments on the aft side of the mast at all times while racing. Each boat shall either provide a working Atlas 2 at check-in for configuration with RaceSense, or an Atlas 2 will be provided by the Organizing Authority (OA).

1.18 Failure of an Atlas 2 or the RaceSense system shall not be grounds for opening a hearing considering redress. This changes RRS 60.1(b).

Add the following to NOR 9.

9.2 Measurement may commence before the scheduled dates if approved by the Regatta Measurer.
