  • 30 on a beat to windward and 49 on a downwind leg were overlapped on a collision course on port tack.

  • 49 and 30 hailed each other and neither boat changed course

  • 30 had a reasonable apprehension 49 would not keep clear

  • 30 crash-tacked to avoid contact

  • During the crash-tack 30 capsized and ripped the trampoline

  • Water swamped 30's tramp through the hole several times after capsize recovery and initially prevented her from foiling.

  • No boat did turns
