- On the prestart side of the line, 30s before the start, 10 kts of wind, boats 17 and 23 were on starboard tack, sailing to the line.
- Boat 23 established an overlap from clear astern to leeward of boat 17, less than a meter between stern of boat 17 and bow of boat 23.
- As the overlapped was established, boat 23 luffed, and there was contact between stern of boat 17 and bow of boat 23.
- Contact without damage. No penalty taken.
