Facts Found

 

  1. Boat 29 was close hauled on starboard approaching the top mark, boat 42 on port crossed ahead having dipped another starboard tack boat.

  2. Boat 42 capsized backwards, making contact with boat 29 and causing boat 29 to capsize.

  3. There was minor damage to boat 29 and no injury.

  4. The damage did not impair boat 29's ability to continue sailing.

  5. Boat 42 took a one-turn penalty in acknowledgement of their infringement, and subsequently retired from the race.
